In addition to being the number one selling roadster in the U.S., the Pontiac Solstice has also become the number one racer in two different classes of Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) racing.

At the 2007 championships in Topeka, Kansas, the Solstice topped the Showroom Stock B (SSB) class while its turbocharged twin, the Solstice GXP, ran away with the Tourer 2 (T2) class.
While Pontiac is certainly no stranger to the winner’s circle, we think that its especially cool that these are not multi-million dollar race teams taking home trophies. These racers have day jobs, and the competition is part of the same passion for performance that we all feel.
So, in celebration of their victories, we are pleased to announce an extremely limited edition SCCA Champion Edition of both the Solstice and the Solstice GXP. Here's the inside Underground scoop: we are only building 222 TOTAL. We will not be taking any more orders so you'll need to start having your dealer check inventories to find the one you want. They won’t be around for long.
Unlike the rather limited features of the true ZOK Club Racing cars, the SCCA Champion editions don’t skimp, giving you just about every option available on the roadster.
The Solstice SCCA SSB Champion package starts off with a fully-loaded car in Aggressive Red (or “Give Me a Ticket” Red, if you prefer).

Then, we add custom rally racing stripes on the hood and deck lid, special SCCA SSB Champion graphics, and unique light titanium-colored leather seats with the embroidered Champion logo.
Sticker price from the manual transmission is $29,020, or you can step up to the five-speed automatic for $29.945.
Feel the need for T2-level speed? Then step up to the turbocharged Solstice GXP SCCA T2 Champion edition. This little baby is dressed in Mean Yellow paint

, so the only “red” your competition will see are your taillights, fading in the distance. Again, racing stripes, SCCA Champion badging and those cool titanium embroidered seats are standard, as is just about everything else.
The T2 package comes in at $32,370 for the stick, or $33,295 for the automatic.
